Very Good Plus

The cover has noticeable faults, such as light creases and ringwear, but nothing major.

Excellent

The disc shows signs of having been played, but there are barely any marks or surface noise, and the labels show only light signs of use.

Description

When the Beatles moved to London in 1963, they quickly became friends with the super-hip DJ and promo man Tony Hall. In particular, George spent much time at his flat in Green Street, Mayfair, where they listened to the latest US R&B releases.

George was still in the habit of writing his name on the back of his albums, and this one (issued in the UK that July) was no exception. One night he gave it to Tony, who always kept it.

It is now being sold on for the first time ever. Needless to say, it’s a piece of Beatles history, made all the more special by the fact that it contains Money, covered on With The Beatles (released that November).

So here it is - your chance to own George Harrison’s personal copy of a classic album with superb provenance and clear influence on the Beatles.

Should you wish it, the album will come with a written statement from Tony Hall’s executors to the effect that it is genuine and formed part of Tony’s estate.

 Good luck!
