The disc isn't new, but the playing surfaces are near-perfect and show almost no signs of wear when studied under direct light. It sounds as good as it did when brand new. The labels are close to perfect, with no more than the lightest ‘spindle’ marks around the hole.
Description
One of the best (& easiest to damage!) covers on any album ever ... fact. Made to look like the shape of an old 50's TV set with a transparent plastic "screen", this truly is a work of art. The first track "Burlesque" is an all-time rock classic which still sounds great today.
This is a first pressing from 1972 & has K54006 A1/B1 matrices on the runout.
The cover is in super condition,only one corner rub on bottom-left of front cover & a slight "graze" along the bottom edge which looks more of a print error than a scuff (see photos). The faintest of faint bits of edge wear mainly on the bottom edge with a slight bit of creasing over the album/band name on the spine but all print is perfectly legible (see photos). The transparent plastic screen is in perfect condition with no rips (this bit normally gets damaged first) & the interior slip-pocket section on the back cover is sound (the inner slides into this). Also has original printed lyrics insert in NM condition. No rips,no tears & a fine example cover-wise. There's just a hint of ringwear to the back cover, but minimal really.
The vinyl looks pristine,I can't see any obvious marks on it but I've graded it as NM visually. Labels are clean & minimal spindle wear.
A great opportunity to buy this fast-appreciating classic at a reasonable price The last one of these I saw on Ebay went for over £50 & was not much better than this one.
