Cover Condition
The cover has noticeable faults, such as light creases and ringwear, but nothing major.
Disc Condition
The disc has been played a number of times but has been well looked after, showing only light marks. The labels might show slightly heavier signs of wear but are not damaged.
Description
1969 UK Mono pressing with original red mono inner sleeve - N.B. NO POSTER IS PRESENT !!
Doesn't seem to match 100% with any of the mono pressings listed on Discogs but the closest is this one :
Rolling Stones – Let It Bleed – Vinyl (LP, Album, Mono), 1969 [r13394074] | Discogs
Although the above clearly has some mistakes (as sometimes happens with Discogs) particularly with the Rights Society boxed credits position on the labels.
The back cover of this has "Sleeve printed in England" instead of "Sleeve printed in England by Upton Printing Group" as is usual on most 1969 pressings. Also the matrices are slightly different :
Side 1 XARL-9363.P-2A UU JT 1
Side 2 XARL-9364.P-1A K (?) JT 1 (Looks like a K in the runout but a little unclear, even under strong light with a magnifying glass)
The JT in the matrices denotes the UK tax code.
The inner is the correct red Mono "uncensored" version & is in nice condition, just a little light creasing & no splits/tears.
The front-laminated cover is clean & sound with just a couple of small creases/light spine edge lifting of the laminate & has the poster sticker attached. The pinched end spine (see photos) is also clean with all text clearly legible. The back unlaminated cover has the mono/stereo inspection hole to the top right.
The vinyl retains a nice sheen & has only a few light longish hairline marks but nothing deep or nasty. There is a little crackle here & there in the deadwax & occasional very quiet passages, but not obtrusive. I heard a couple of light ticks in the deadwax between tracks sometimes but again not bad. For a record that's not far off 60 years old it played very nicely on my system with no skips or jumps.
A rare item priced sensibly, worth more than the price it's listed at.
