Aretha Franklin

Biography

March 25th 1942 - August 16th 2018 Detroit-born American singer and the most charted female artist in history. Widely known as ‘The Queen Of Soul’, she released her debut album on Columbia in 1961, but didn’t find significant commercial success until moving to Atlantic in 1967. Among her best-known recordings are I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You), Respect, Chain Of Fools, Think and I Say A Little Prayer. In all she had 77 entries on Billboard’s Hot 100, including 17 top tens, and has sold over 75 million records worldwide.
