Cover Condition
The cover has obvious wear, such as split seams, writing or a cut corner, but remains presentable.
Disc Condition
The disc has been played a number of times but has been well looked after, showing only light marks. The labels might show slightly heavier signs of wear but are not damaged.
Description
Quite an oddity & a 1978 re-issue of the original 1970 soundtrack for the film of the same name. This was the first recorded work of Becker & Fagen pre-Steely Dan days when they were hawking their wares around New York trying to get song-writing deals with various labels. Also features Denny Diaz on guitar & John Discepolo on drums. Has 2 or 3 tunes that definitely show what was to come a couple of years later with SD.
Being an import, it has a notch cut on the bottom-right of cover which has frayed a little (see photos) & has some corner wear & a couple of light creases - also a small sticker removal mark at the top right of front cover. Original info/lyrics inner in good shape with just a little edge fading. Overall the cover is in pretty good condition for it's 43 years of existence.
Disc has a fair few light hairlines & some sleeve removal "feathering" but only one scuff mark on the first track of side 2 going just into the second track (about an inch long) but this doesn't affect the sound at all. There is a little static crackle between tracks & in very quiet parts occasionally but nothing obtrusive. The worst bit of crackle is literally right at the end of the last track of side 2 for about 10 seconds into the runout, but again it's not bad. Plays really well considering it's age & is not far from being EX.
Even though it's not a Steely Dan album it's one for the collectors of all things SD.
Will combine postage for multiple purchases, as a general rule I can get 3 single-sleeve albums in one mailer, obviously gatefold sleeves & double-albums will count as two items. If you have any problems with postage discounts at checkout please contact me before purchasing.
